Product certificate
A product certificate normally identifies a product or product family, applicant, manufacturer, standard, issuing body, and scope. Its value depends on whether the certificate is authentic, current where applicable, issued within the body’s recognized scope, and linked to the motor configuration being purchased.
Test report
A test report should identify the tested sample, standard and edition, test methods, results, dates, laboratory, and often photographs or construction details. A report for a 230 V wired motor should not be assumed to cover a 120 V wireless version, even when the two models share a similar enclosure.
Declaration of Conformity
A Declaration of Conformity is not the same as a third-party certificate. In the EU framework, the manufacturer identifies the product and applicable legislation and takes responsibility for conformity. Management system certificate

What Should You Request for the European Union?
For the EU, do not stop at the question “Do you have CE?” CE marking is the manufacturer’s indication that the product meets applicable EU legal requirements. It is not, by itself, an approval certificate issued by an EU authority. The buyer should request the model-specific EU Declaration of Conformity and enough supporting evidence to judge whether the declared scope fits the purchased product.

Which Safety Standards Apply to Blind and Tubular Motors?
A credible supplier should be able to explain why a standard is relevant, not merely show a standard number. Under EESS, an Australian or New Zealand entity that is the first supplier may need to register, maintain documentary evidence, and register certain equipment according to its risk level. SAA documentation
